Award-winning Pre-ming High Mountain Long Jing Dragon Well Green Tea

Dragon Well green tea is one of the most famous teas in China, referred to in Chinese as "Long Jing", which literally translates as Dragon Well. It originated in West Lake of Hangzhou, and is now cultivated in other parts of Zhejiang province and other regions of China, resulting in tea that can vary significantly in quality and taste. This is a top grade Dragon Well harvested around Qing Ming or pre-ming. The varietal is the local varietal called Qunti Zhong, which is the original historical grown varietal than the commonly grown Long Jing #43 varietal. This tea is truly an excellent tea in both style and taste. It reflects the four distinctive characteristics of high quality dragon well, flat spear shape, pale green color, intense nutty aroma, and sweet aftertaste.

Tasting Profile

This tea has the signature flavor of Long Jing Dragon Well. Intense aroma, floral and nutty, full bodied, and sweet aftertaste that lingers in your mouth and nose.  

Steeping Guide

185oF, 4g (2 tsp) for 6-8 oz of spring/filtered water, adjust to taste, 30s to 1 minutes, 3 steepings. We advise against the use of tap water as well as purified water.

To get the most enjoyment out of the tea, we recommend using a glass brewing vessel without an infuser, pouring the hot water first, adding the tea, and then smelling the amazing aroma and admiring the opening of the tea leaves.
