Artisan Yixing Zisha Purple Clay Teapot Zhu Ni Rong Tian

Rong Tian is a classic teapot style, a creation of the great master Lv Rao Chen. The teapot was inspired by Maitreya Buddha, meaning "A big belly can accommodate everything in the world". The body mimics a big full rounded belly that implies a resilient attitude that can handle anything. It also has a straight up spout and a tall lid, and with the lower profile wide body, it expresses a modest attitude, yet an upward spirit. A tall lid can boost one's detection of fragrance.

This teapot is handcrafted by master Wu Jun, a senior master sanctioned by the Chinese Arts and Crafts governing authority. This teapot come together functionality, aesthetics and character as a whole and gives aura of dignity and regal aura. It is a great addition to your teaware collection.

Zisha is known for its ability to adapt and enhance the tea flavor. Over a period of use the surface of the tea pot can reflect the color of the tea that it brews and become glazed. The process of the surface becoming glazed is called "yang hu", literally meaning "raise the teapot" in Chinese. Chinese tea people regard this process as a fun part of tea enjoyment.
