Wuyi Rock Oolong Tea Old Bush Lao Cong Shui Xian Narcissus

$ 58.00

There is an old saying in the Chinese tea community that "there is none more fragrant than Rou Gui, and none mellower than Shui Xian". Old Bush Shui Xian is known for its Cong flavor, the woody and mossy flavor that connoisseurs chase after.

This tea is a great representation of what an old bush Shui Xian oolong can offer. Shui Lian Dong (waterfall cave) is one of the famous core tea-producing areas in the Wuyi mountains, which the locals call "Zhen Yan", meaning the true rocks/cliffs. It was harvested in May 2023 and produced by Master Liu and was moderately roasted over charcoal. Tea master Liu's father was one of the several tea roasting masters of the famed state-owned Wuyi Yan Cha factory in the late 1970s to early 2020s. Master Liu has been making tea for over 20 years.

This tea has gentle and elegant aroma, very delicate and smooth, with fruity undertones  of peach, apricot and pear. Pay attention to the Yun that a true Wuyi rock tea carries. A truly delicious Shui Xian tea you don't want to miss.

Brewing suggestion: We strongly suggest that you warm up your gaiwan, teapot, or your brewing vessel of choice before brewing this tea, with boiling water.

Each pack weights 8.3g of loose leaf tea.
