Name: 青花仿王步双翠鸟杯

The cup is the original work of a top porcelain studio in Jingdezhen, the porcelain capital of the world, and is well-made using authentic high quality Jingdezhen clay and masterfully hand painted. The painting mimics the work of the great Jingdezhen porcelain master Wang Bu (王步), 1898-1968, who earned fame as Qinghua Dawang (青花大王), translates  as "the King of Blue and White". Wang Bu's great achievement was the innovation of the traditional blue and white porcelain techniques by manipulating the appearance of cobalt blue to depict a wonderfully sophisticated image. His favorite subject are of flowers and birds. 

This cup depicts a vivid image of two birds resting on weeds by the water, simple yet heartwarming and wonderfully intricate. It uses Wang Bu's style by painting clear layers of blues to depict a fresh, full, and naturally serene image. The hearty birds and the dense foliage are well-composed to create an artistic conception of the birds and the water, but with one's own endless meaning (意境).
