Top Grade Huang Shan Mao Feng Yellow Mountain Green Tea
One of the top ten most famous Chinese teas, this tea comes from the north side of Huang Shan mountain, Anhui province. The tea grows on the hills of the mountain with a high elevation of about 1200 meters, often covered with mist and clouds. The soil is rich in minerals and mixed with a lot of rocky stones!
Top grade Huang Shan Mao Feng has one bud and one baby leaf, like a sparrow tongue, and has heavier and denser leaves than non-core producing regions. The tea leaves have a bright yellowish green color with various hues, which become more vibrant after steeping. It has a complex fragrance, with orchid floral, slightly nutty and vegetal notes, very smooth. The taste is light, yet very smooth and clean, has hints of green bean and pea, with a lasting sweet finish. No bitterness or astringency, even after a long steeping.
The actual leaves are very fine, much smaller than they appear in the product picture.
