2019 Lao Man'E Ancient Tree Sheng Raw Pu'erh Tea Cake 357g
Lao Man'E village is the oldest village in Bulang mountain, Menghai, and one of the 10 most famous puerh-producing villages in Yunnan. The indigenous Bulang ethnic group have been known for growing pu'erh tea since ancient times and has been living in this village for more than 1300 years. They believe in Thai Hinayana Buddhism.
Lao Man'E tea is well known for its strong chaqi. This tea has very pleasant aroma and full bodied impactful mouthfeel, with great balance between bitterness, astringency, and quick huigan. It tastes mild astringent, yet immediately strike back the sweet huigan in the mouth. Since Lao Man'E has high reputation on its own right, there are a lot of copycat and faked ones, or mixed leaves from other villages or other inferior Pu-erh leaves that are labeled this prestigious name.
Our brand is 100% pure leaves from ancient tree terrace of Lao Man'E village, no blends, no mixes, directly sourced by Victoria in her 2019 tea trip. Our tea are not only authentic from the village, but the tea leaves are also from ancient trees, not young leaves, which makes big difference in the flavor and taste. We chose to press the tea into traditional cake size of 357g as this tea is great for aging. This tea no doubt is the very best of Lao Man'E puerh.
