Hailing from the core producing region of Panxi village, Dian Tou, Fuding, Fujian province, this tea was plucked in early April pre-ming and traditionally processed under the sun. White peony tea gained its beautiful name as a reflection of the white downy buds and the dry leaves that resemble peony flowers. High grade White Peony is composed of one bud to one leaves. This tea is top grade, a real deal of white peony that Victoria surveyed the high mountain terrace and watched the process of this tea.  It is very floral, fruity notes of dates, pear and a vanilla with sweet finish. It has very clean taste, indication of high mountain tea. 

A lot of inferior white peony teas on the markets are not Fuding white tea, rather other parts of Fujian province, some are even from other parts of China or from other countries. White tea was once considered to be a medicinal tea in China. Chinese folk tradition indicates that white tea has medicinal benefits, especially for boosting the immune system and helping to cure cold and fever.

Fruity aroma with a hint of hay, full bodied, has notes of dates, melon and a vanilla sweetness. 

Steeping Guide

190^oF, 4 grams (2 heaping tbsp) for 6 oz of spring/filtered water, adjust to taste, 1 minutes, 6 steeps. We advise against the use of tap water as well as purified water.

This is a fluffy loose leaf tea and prone to broken leaves, so be gentle when scooping the tea out of the pouch and always handle with care.
