First Grade Anxi Floral Tie Guan Yin Iron Goddess of Mercy Oolong
Tie Guan Ying is one of the most revered and sought after oolong teas in China. Sourced directly from the master Zhou in Anxi, Fujian province, hand picked and hand rolled. It has a distinctive orchid floral character and the aroma has an enduring finish that lingers in the mouth and nose. It can sustain many infusions. Oolong tea has many health benefits, most known as skinny tea.
Tie Guan Yin is one of the most revered and sought after oolong teas in China. It is named for the Chinese Goddess of Mercy, Guan Yin, based on a legend. A magnificent tea, not just because of its unique name, but also for its strong floral fragrance and delightfully complex taste. However, the making of Tie Guan Yin is very complex, requires intensive care and skills. This tea is harvested in Spring, in De Qing of Anxi county, Fujian province. This tea is hand-rolled into small, jade colored balls.
High quality Tie Guan Yin presents three distinctive qualities: fragrance, fullness, and aftertaste. The caffeine level of Tie Guan Yin is stronger than green tea, but lower than black tea which is ideal for delivering moderate and consistent levels of energy, both in the morning and afternoon.

This exquisite tea has a good balance of intense aroma, with hints of orchid and osmanthus flowers, a fresh depth, sweet taste, and a full bodied flavor that lingers in your mouth and nose.
210oF, 7 grams (2 tbsp) for 8-10 oz of spring/filtered water, adjust to taste, 0.5-1minutes, 8 steeps. We advise against the use of tap water as well as purified water.
