2019 Fuding Top Grade White Peony White Tea Bai Mu Dan

Hailing from the core producing region of Panxi village 磻溪, Dian Tou, Fuding, Fujian province, this tea was plucked in early April pre-ming and traditionally processed under the sun. White peony tea gained its beautiful name as a reflection of the white downy buds and the dry leaves that resemble peony flowers. High grade White Peony is composed of one bud to one leaves. This tea is top grade, a real deal of white peony that Victoria surveyed the high mountain terrace and watched the process of this tea.  It is very floral, fruity notes of dates, pear and a vanilla with sweet finish. It has very clean taste, indication of high mountain tea. 

A lot of inferior white peony teas on the markets are not Fuding white tea, rather other parts of Fujian province, some are even from other parts of China or from other countries. White tea was once considered to be a medicinal tea in China. Chinese folk tradition indicates that white tea has medicinal benefits, especially for boosting the immune system and helping to cure cold and fever.
