About Fuding white tea

White tea can be enjoyed by young or aged leaves. Young
white tea taste fresh and the dry leaves look bright. The aging properties of
white tea are unique on their own right, with a deeper and a more complex
flavor, which is highly sought after.

Recommended Teaware:

Porcelain gaiwan, Yixing purple clay teapot or Jianshui clay teapot

Clear glass teapot filled with golden-brown herbal tea leaves.

Water Quality:

Use spring or filtered water for optimal flavor. Avoid tap, purified, or distilled water.

Brewing Steps

1. Warm the Teaware

Preheat your teapot or gaiwan to stabilize brewing temperature.

2. Leave to water ratio

For Silver Needles and fresh White Peony: 6g to 120ml gaiwan.

For Shou Mei and Aged White Peony (older than 3 years): 7g to 150 teapot.

Adjust to personal preference.

3. Set the Temperature

Use 205°F (95°C) for Silver Needles and young white peony.
Use 205–210°F (95–100°C) for aged White Peony and Shou Mei.

4. Steep

Brew for 1 minute for the first infusion. increase the subsequent brewing time for every another three steepings.

Steeping up to 10 infusions.

Brewing time adjust to taste. For lighter taste, reduce the brewing time.

5. Pour and Savor

Observe the clarity of the liquor and inhale its soft floral aroma before tasting.

BREWING PROFILE

Water Temperature: 202–212°F (95–100°C)

Steeping Time: 1 minute per infusion, increase steeping time in later steeps.

Infusions: Up to 10
