2017 King White Peony White Tea Angel Cake Bai Mu Dan

King Grade 8-Year Treasure from single origin embodies all the hallmarks of supreme aged white tea. The floral fragrance known as Hao Xiang, a rare delicacy found in highest grade white peony, is an essential addition to any white tea connoisseur’s collection and a perfect gift to the beauty of aged tea.

This particular tea comes from Diantou Township, the most prestigious white tea-producing area in Fuding county, located at the highest elevations where the pristine air and rich soil nurture some of the finest tea bushes. During Victoria's visit to the remote mountain tea base, Victoria explored the cultivation fields and production facilities, and spent time with the company’s founder—an esteemed tea master Wu Chuan Hui, who holds the rare national title of Great Tea Making Master, awarded by the Chinese authorities.

This tea has been aged for eight years, reaching the age at which white tea is considered a treasured medicinal and cultural gem in the Chinese tea community. Specifically, the flavor is deep and nuanced, offering gentle hints of grain, jujube (red dates), and a whisper of vanilla. The liquor is juicy, mellow, and full-bodied, with a lingering sweetness that stimulates the palate and evokes a sense of calm satisfaction.
