Description

According to local lore, during the Guangxu era of the Qing Dynasty, a tea farmer from Da’an Village discovered a mother tree with an extraordinary fragrance on the mountainside of Fengniaoji. When cuttings were taken for propagation, only eight bushes survived — echoing the legendary tale of the “Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea.” Today, all Eight Immortals (Ba Xian) Dan Cong trees descend from those original cuttings, with many now over 80 years old.

Crafted in the traditional Fenghuang style, this tea is meticulously refined through three rounds of slow, low-heat charcoal baking, enhancing its depth while preserving its vibrant floral character. It is celebrated for its sharp, penetrating, and long-lasting gardenia-like aroma. Floral notes intertwined with subtle spices rise gracefully from the cup, seamlessly infused into the liquor. The flavor is mellow yet fresh and lively, revealing hints of passion fruit and baked berries in a clear, bright golden-yellow infusion. As the session unfolds, the fragrance fills the mouth, lingering on the lips and teeth with a long, memorable finish.

All aromas and flavors are entirely natural — no artificial flavorings or extracts are ever added. What you experience is the pure expression of cultivar, terroir, and great skill of  craftsmanship.
