Fun, Relaxed, and Informative

"This was a great event to invite my family and friends for a tea geek like myself, and I’m sure it would be fun for people who are starting out their tea journey and want to learn more about tea in general. If you are newer to tea, this class will show you: -Teas that you likely have not tried before, particularly in the oolong and Puerh tea types; -How to do gong fu brewing (several very brief steeps with lots of tea leaves) to get the most out of your tea; -What usually goes on the tea table when serving guests; -What a gaiwan (covered cup for tea brewing) is and a little bit of how to use it; -How teas open up and change their flavor and aroma as you continue to steep them. The pace was good, too - relaxed enough to give us enough time to fully take in each tea, while still providing as much info as possible about each one and about brewing them. The class size was also small and intimate, allowing us to ask individual questions as we sipped through each tea. Overall, a great way to spend a special occasion if you want something more quiet and relaxed."

Excellent, highly recommend

"Victoria has incredibly in-depth knowledge of tea types, cultivars, terroir, and more. She provides a fascinating overview of the six types of tea and their differences, characteristics, and flavor profiles. The teas are all high quality and generously poured multiple times to allow students to truly understand changes in the flavor associated with steeping and temperature. My group had varied backgrounds in terms of understanding of tea, from hobbyists to amateur food chemists, and Victoria was able to field a multitude of questions and patiently walk us through answers. I appreciated her generosity with her time, and the high quality tea, and would definitely recommend this class."

Great Class!

"I bought tickets to the class for my family members as a gift and I’m very glad that I did! They thoroughly enjoyed their time and were more knowledgeable about teas after taking the class. They also left with a few goodies to celebrate the Chinese mid-Autumn Festival! A great purchase! I may have to attend myself now!"

This was phenomenal! Victoria is

"This was phenomenal! Victoria is a wonderful hostess and teacher. I gained so much knowledge about tea and it’s sourcing in China. I can’t praise her enough. If you want to be educated about tea, sign up for her classes! I still need to attend the oolong class. ??"

I just took Victoria's Tea

"I just took Victoria's Tea 101 class on green tea and it was a very enjoyable and interesting experience. While I came into the class having some knowledge of tea, I learned a lot. I especially welcomed learning about how different tea plantations process the tea and the teas that are grown in different areas. Having the opportunity to taste different green teas, side-by-side, was especially valuable. The discussions with my classmates was especially enjoyable and made the class a wonderful learning experience. Victoria was a good teacher and she and Richard were good hosts. It is an excellent class especially for tea drinkers who want to get a better understanding of the many different teas that are available. I plan to take a class on black tea when it is available."

Great Tea, no milk or sugar needed!

"Went to Victoria's tea class and had a great time! She is knowledgable and passionate about good tea. She travels to China to personally select her teas. The quality is bar none, and the tea steeps several times, unlike many teas you buy. I came home with a lovely oolong. No flavored teas, or mixed teas....just pure tea. Enjoy it!"

Perfection

"My wife and I took this class with Victoria this last weekend and it was a real pleasure. Her passion for tea was evident, she had a lot of patience and was happy to answer everyone’s questions. I felt as though I have made a new friend and certainly hope to return for more classes. I also discovered a wonderful oolong and had to bring some home. All in all we had a blast and can’t wait to see where our love of tea takes us next."

Tea 101 Exceeded Expectations

"As a lifelong tea drinker who had done a little research into tea, I was excited to find Victoria's class - hoping to learn even more about tea. And I did! The class atmosphere was casual and friendly. Victoria's expertise and passion for tea were evident throughout the class. She explained about various teas, and graciously entertained questions which she answered knowledgeably. We had the opportunity to sample several teas - each of which was excellent - and understand more about what the differences between types of teas are. I found the entire experience thoroughly enjoyable and it exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend the class! I know I will be signing up for more of Victoria's classes."
