This is a one-of-a-kind masterpiece that represents the pinnacle of Jingdezhen's porcelain craftsmanship, The clay is from the local Tian Bai Chi clay, meaning sweet white clay, As the name suggests, it is jade white, light, and has a pronounced radiance. The clay is very delicate with a creamy glaze. In addition to the master craftsmanship of the vessel itself, the calligraphy on the gaiwan is also worthy of great appreciation. Each individual character is written and painted beautifully and concisely in radiant gold. The rim and bottom on both the Gaiwan and the teacups are delicately ornamented in gold, giving this set a classy and elegant feel. Indeed, this set reflects great art workmanship. 

Chinese tea culture is closely associated with Buddhism since the budding of the Tang dynasty. The Chinese characters on the gaiwan and teacup are from "the Heart Sutra". The Chinese characters on the teacup translate to "Form itself is emptiness; emptiness itself is form".
