Brewing Suggestions
Vintage pu-erh teas are best brewed using gongfu-style brewing:
- Tea amount: 7 g to 120-150ml
- Teaware: Recommend to use Yixing or Jianshui clay teapot, or gaiwan
- Water temperature: 212°F (100°C)
- Rinse: Quick rinse to awaken the leaves
- Steeping: Gentle pour water into teapot. Start at 10–15 seconds and gradually increase with each infusion.
These Pu-erh teas are highly re-infusable, revealing evolving aromas and flavors over multiple brews. Western-style brewing may also be used with longer steep times and fewer infusions.
