2007 Vintage Fuding White Peony White Tea Bai Mu Dan
This exquisite tea is from its true origin, Fuding county of Fujian province. Fuding is the original area for cultivation and production of white tea dates back to the early nineteenth century. Fuding has a unique terroir with 90% hilly land, and is credited as the "Home of Chinese White Tea".
After 14 years of aging, no doubt this tea has become a treasure in the white tea world. Due to its aging, it is very smooth and sweet, with well-balanced taste. The aroma is wonderful, tastes fruity, very soothing to your throat, with strong sweet aftertaste. It goes for many steepings.
There is an old Chinese saying about Fuding white tea: "year one a tea, year three a medicine, year seven a treasure". So the more aged the white tea, the more precious it becomes. Historically the locals use the tea as a medicine for preventing from fever and cold.
