Artisan Jun Kiln Starring Blue Teacup Pair

The Jun kiln, in Yuzhou, Henan province, is one of the five famous kilns hailing from the Song dynasty, about 960-1279 years ago. Jun ware porcelain has been highly admired for centuries and is best known for its striking varying glazes. In fact, for handcrafted Jun porcelain, no piece has the exact same glaze as any other. 

This pair is from a reputable studio in the historical Jun ware city of Shen Hou , Yuzhou. It feels sturdy in the hand and comfortable to hold. The striking deep blue to light blue glaze is suffused over the entire cup, combined with a scattered freckle-like pattern or starry sky-like appearance that is highly desired by Jun ware lovers. This patter is the result of high-firing technique.
