Hailing from the legendary tea mountain town of Yiwu, Yunnan, this 1999 tea is a rare find and a jewel of vintage sheng pu'erh tea. The passing years have brought a wonderful transformation of rich flavors. Very nice storage aroma, the early several steepings have very noticeable ginseng aroma, characteristic of a well-aged puerh tea. Very smooth and mellow, floral, woody notes complement the sweet aftertaste. Warm sensation and energy kick in and start to run through your body. After 6 steepings the ginseng notes is very subtle but creamy sweet notes progress. It gets even sweeter in the later steepings. After 20 years of age, this tea is like an wise sage whispering and guiding you through the life's wonders and give you the complacent of soul.

    Tasting Notes

    It has noticeable ginseng aroma, full bodied, smooth, rich, hint of woody note, fruits and dates, with a sweet aftertaste. 

    Steeping Guide

    210oF, 4g for 6 oz of spring/filtered water, 0.5 minute, up to 12 steepings, adjust to taste. We advise against the use of tap water as well as purified water.
