Brewing Suggestions

Vintage pu-erh teas are best brewed using gongfu-style brewing:

  1. Tea amount: 8g to 120-150ml
  2. Teaware: Recommend to use Yixing or Jianshui clay teapot
  3. Water temperature: 212°F (100°C)
  4. Rinse: Quick rinse to awaken the leaves
  5. Steeping: Gentle pour water into teapot. Start at 10–15 seconds and gradually increase with each infusion. 

These Pu-erh teas are highly re-infusible, revealing evolving aromas and flavors over multiple brews. Western-style brewing may also be used with longer steep times and fewer infusions.
