Description

Floral, Fruity, and Full of Character

Indulge in the exquisite flavors of this remarkable Wuyi rock oolong rou gui, known for its floral and fruity profile, with a delicate, smooth finish. Grown in some of the most revered rocky micro-lots of the Wuyi Mountains, this tea is a true treasure.

One of the standout regions for producing Rou Gui is the famous Horse Head Rock, locally known as Horse Meat for its exquisite taste. Teas harvested from this renowned micro-lot are highly sought after, and among them, the very best comes from Cat's Ear Rock, named for its resemblance to a cat's ear.

The dry leaves are dark brown and moderately fired over charcoal by Master Li, who  tends to this estate with great care, growing and processing each batch of Rou Gui with precision and expertise. The result is a tea that is rich in cinnamon notes, complemented by the deep, dark flavors of roasted stone fruits like apricot, plum, and rhubarb. A subtle, baked woodiness adds depth, while the smooth mouthfeel is paired with a strong, juicy aftertaste – known as huigan – that lingers beautifully.

This Rou Gui embodies the essence of Wuyi rock oolong, showcasing the legendary "Floral Fragrance, Rock Bone" profile that is not found in the average rou gui teas. With its complex, sensory pleasures and rich layers of flavor, it is truly one of the finest examples of this beloved tea.
