Description

This tea is from Feng Qing county, one of the main Pu-erh tea growing regions in Yunnan province. This tea is named after Xiang Zhu Qing, the village where the Mother of Pu-erh Trees is located, estimated to be around 3,200 years old. It is said that the greater Xiang Zhu Qing has more than 10,000 ancient trees, some of which are more than 1000 years old.

Tuo cha is traditionally pressed into mushroom-shaped forms. This particular tea is made from tender leaves plucked from ancient trees over 300 years old. After 11 years of aging in Kunming, where dry storage is preferred, the tea's bitterness and astringency have mellowed, leaving behind a beautifully balanced flavor profile. Floral and fruity notes shine through, complemented by a clean, smooth, and mellow texture with a sweet aftertaste. Hints of honeydew, rhubarb, and cane sugar further enrich the experience. The tea also delivers a strong cha qi, gently settling in the stomach before rising and warming the entire body. Overall, this is a remarkable Pu-erh, offering immediate satisfaction and great potential for aging gracefully in the years ahead.

To break off leaves from Tuo, starting from the outside edge, use a tea knife or tea pick, point down and gradually break off the leaves from the Tuo.
