Description

This Pu-erh Tea Vintage Sampler features a curated selection of three raw (sheng) Pu-erh teas from Menghai, the renowned pu-erh region, offering depth, complexity, balance, and a wide range of aging characteristics. Versatile in flavor and complexity, this collection is ideal for gifting a devoted tea lover or for elevating your own tea journey.

Presented in an elegant gift box, each tea is rare and exclusive, sourced directly from legendary Pu-erh-producing regions. Together, they showcase the expressive spectrum of aged Pu-erh—refined, aromatic, and deeply satisfying.

2006 Banzhang Arbor Tree Raw Pu-erh Brick
Rare and prestigious, this aged raw Pu-erh is delicate and exceptionally smooth, with a refined character often likened to aged champagne, offering layered complexity, silky texture, and elegance, with lingering natural sweetness on the finish.

2009 Ba Jiao Ting Ultimate Purity Raw Pu-erh
A well-balanced and expressive aged raw Pu-erh tea from the famous Lao Ban Zhang village, featuring floral aromas, a full bodied smooth mouthfeel, gentle smokiness, and honeydew note, deep huigan and saliva producing after taste.

2017 Menghai Longyuan Mark Huo Shao Raw Pu-erh
Rich and grounding, with woodsy notes reminiscent of camphor and cedar, accented by a subtle minty undertone. This tea broadens the palate and deepens appreciation for ripe Pu-erh.

Brewing Suggestions

Vintage pu-erh teas are best brewed using gongfu-style brewing:

  1. Tea amount: 7 g to 120-150ml
  2. Teaware: Recommend to use Yixing or Jianshui clay teapot, or gaiwan
  3. Water temperature: 212°F (100°C)
  4. Rinse: Quick rinse to awaken the leaves
  5. Steeping: Gentle pour water into teapot. Start at 10–15 seconds and gradually increase with each infusion.

These Pu-erh teas are highly re-infusable, revealing evolving aromas and flavors over multiple brews. Western-style brewing may also be used with longer steep times and fewer infusions.
