Step back 1,200 years into the birthplace of tea. Our Meng Ding Yellow Tea comes from the exact misty cliffs in Sichuan where the Taoist Wu Lizhen first cultivated the "Eight Immortal" tea bushes during the Tang Dynasty. Crafted from the rare, heirloom old Sichuan small-leaf varietal (thinner and smaller leaves), this limited-production tea offers a deeper aroma and more robust flavor than other more commonly grown tea bushes in Yaan regional teas. Because authentic yellow tea requires an incredibly labor-intensive, highly skilled "smothering" process, production is strictly limited.
