Description

A gold-medal award winner in the 2019 Global Tea Championship competition, this delicious 22 year-old shu ripe Pu-erh tea hails from Menghai by the prestigious producer Bliss Pu-erh Tea Company. This tea has the charm of the original Menghai flavor that Pu-erh tea connoisseurs love, and delivers the classic Menghai ripe Pu-erh buzz. It has very little earthy taste, is very smooth, full-bodied, pleasant mouthfeel and texture, with a hint of roasted plum and black cherry. You smell the sweetness in the aroma, and the sweetness of each brewing from beginning to the very end, plus the clear liquor at the first brewing, an indication of high quality shu Pu-erh tea. Note how sweet this tea is, naturally sweet even after 20 steeps. When there are so many aged shu Pu-erh teas on the market neither fake or non-naturally processed and taste muddy and unpleasant, this tea is absolutely one of the best.

357g cake.

Aged menghai

"Lighter fermentation similar to aged sheng. Palpable chi and warmth in chest. Very pleasant and long lasting body feel."

Amazing

"I purchased this tea because it is a gold award-winner. Since I have had a good experience with Meimei’s great quality teas, I trusted that I would not be disappointed. And wow, was my faith rewarded! This is the best shu puerh tea I have ever had. The liquor is so clear, vivid, no musty smell or taste like most shu puerh teas I had tried before. It was very smooth with a pleasant aroma, even tasted a bit fruity. I brewed a dozen times. An amazing tea indeed!"

One of my top three tea for 2020.

"I have acquired quite a few teas from MeiMei for the past few years, Some of the teas I have been saving them to age for future use. The following are the top three of my favorites for 2020. 1. 2004 Vintage Menghai Bliss Ripened Puerh ( Smooth, mellow, not woody and very soothing especially after heavy oil meals ) 2. Shi Fen West Lake Dragon Well. ( Fruity and almond taste. Nice after taste) 3. 2014 Menghai Qizi Bing Cha Rae Puerh. ( Sweet, not bitter and Long lasting after taste.)"

Kuan L. (5/5)

Scotch-like tea

"This tea starts with a bright, playful scent and taste that reminds me of a mild sarsaparilla or root beer from childhood. Later, heavier steeping yields the smoky pitch, tarry flavors of Laphroig Scotch without the alcohol burn ."
