Yunnan Black Premium (Dian Hong)
Dian Hong means Yunnan Red. Gong Fu means effort or skilled, which in this case, refers to the time and effort required to make this black tea. Dian Hong was first produced in 1938 in Fengqing, Yunnan and quickly gained worldwide fame. The tea varietal called Da Ye, meaning large leaves, is an ancient cultivar indigenous to Yunnan from which the famous Puer tea is produced. This tea was plucked in late April, with 1 bud to 2-3 tender leaves. This has a taste profile similar to that of English breakfast tea.
