1990s Vintage Jun Porcelain Tea Cup Official Kiln Wood-fired
The Jun kiln, in Yuzhou, Henan province, is one of the five famous kilns hailing from the Song dynasty about 960-1279 years ago. Jun kiln is renowned for its ever changing glaze. In fact, for good Jun porcelain, no piece has the exact same glaze as any other.
These cups were produced by the state-owned official kiln no.1, (later dissolved in 2005) in the early 1990s. It has a lot of evenly distributed golden freckles as a result of a firing process which is hard to reproduce. A vintage piece that is hard to find and will surely add flare to your tea ware collections.
