2019 Fuding Silver Needles White Tea Bai Hao Yin Zhen Super Grade
This is super grade Silver Needle single origin white tea from the heart of the traditional harvest region of Fuding, Fujian province, sourced by Victoria on her 2019 spring trip. Fuding is regarded as the most sought-after source for high quality white tea. It has a unique terroir with 90% hilly land, and is credited as the "Home of Chinese White Tea".
This is from the first spring harvest, plucked during the March 23rd pre-ming season, and is completely sun-dried. It is delightfully fresh and very floral, mellow and sweet, with notes of fresh pear, papaya, vanilla and dates, producing a deeply satisfying cup.
Silver Needle has a very distinctive appearance. Most inferior silver needles on the US market are not Fuding white tea, rather are from Zhen He and Yunnan, or from some other distressed areas or from a later harvest. At Meimei Fine Teas, we only offer high quality teas from their true origin as terrior plays a crucial role in tea taste and overall sensory experience.
