Organic Sichuan Gongfu Black Tea
This is a well made gongfu black tea from Gao Xian county, in southwestern Sichuan province. Hand harvested and carefully crafted, it has aroma of malt and dark chocolate, with a hint of roasted black cherry and delivers a tasty complex finish. A very versatile tea, perfect for breakfast or afternoon tea, especially with hearty meals or chocolate brownies and other sweets.
This is an exceptionally well made black tea from Gao Xian county, in southwestern Sichuan province, China. Sichuan is one of the three major gongfu black tea-growing regions in China. This tea is grown in organic tea gardens at an altitude of about 1000 meters. This tea is hand-picked in early April and carefully crafted. The picking standard is one bud, one leaf. The process of withering, rolling, and firing requires special skills and great care, which produces the very fine, golden tippy, and tightly twisted dry leaves, and which yield an amazing cup.

This tea has reddish liquor, an aroma of roasted black cherry, and a full body with notes of malt and chocolate. Slightly smoky and naturally sweet.
200oF, 4g (1 tbsp) for 6 oz of spring/filtered water, adjust to taste, 1-2 minutes, 4 steepings. We advise against the use of tap water as well as purified water.
