Contemporary Porcelain Tea Cup / Bowl Deep Blue Glaze 250 ml
This tea cup is hand crafted by a young artist in Jingdezhen, the capital of porcelain world. This was a rare find on my trip to Jingdezhen as there are few tea bowls of this large size and shape available. Per the artist, Ji Lan (the deep blue glaze) is difficult to fire successfully. Ji Lan techniques were developed in the Yuan dynasty and became very popular during the Qing dynasty. The glaze on this cup is simply gorgeous and was used from authentic local clay material. This tea bowl has vibrantly rich color and strikingly combines a classy and sleek style. Simply beautiful and unique, very comfortable to hold, and is a great every day cup. It will surely add some flair to your tea ware collection.
