2007 Xinhui Mandarin Orange Puerh Tea Vintage Gongting Puerh

1 review

This tea teases the taste buds with tantalizing citrus notes. Stuffed in an authentic, dried Xinhui mandarin is Gongting shu puerh tea that has been aged for 9 years. Gongting is the highest grade of puerh leaf quality. This tea is very smooth, full bodied, with a strong citrus flavor. Great for puerh tea beginners and puerh tea lovers alike.

The dried orange shell is authentic Xinhui mandarin from Gongdong province. Traditional Chinese medicine regards Xinhui mandarin skin as great for soothing the lungs and throat, and for reducing excessive body heat.

Each weights about 28-40g, good for multiple times of use to a week of consumption. If desired, breaking off a few small pieces of the mandarin shell to steep along with the tea!

It has a pleasant and smooth earthy flavor, with a slight hint of smokiness at the first steeping, notes of dark chocolate and caramel, and a smooth aftertaste. No musty taste. You will notice that it becomes sweeter with each steeping.

Take 4 grams of puerh tea out from the mandarin, break off a few small mandarin skins to brew along with the tea if desired, 210oF, 6- 8 oz of spring/filtered water, 1-2 min; up to 6 steepings.  We advise against the use of tap water as well as purified water.
