Da Hu Sai is a village that belongs to the Bang Ma Big Snow Mountain ridge of Mengku, Yunnan, with elevation of about 2000 meters, the highest elevation in the area. Residents in Da Hu Sai are mostly La Hu minority and Han. Da Hu Sai has long history of producing quality pu'erh tea. Due to the recent increasing awareness of the quality of Mengku tea, Da Hu Sai has gained in popularity. Da Hu Sai pu’erh tea usually has larger leaves, strong cha qi and is slightly astringent. This tea is produced by the Chun Ming company and tastes smooth and mellow, with quick hui gan, and a sweet aftertaste.
