2008 Lao Ban Zhang Sheng Pu-erh Tea Cake King of Pu'erh
This tea came from the prestigious Lao Bang Zhang (老班章) village which lies at an altitude of 1600 meters, in Bu Lang Mountains, Meng Hai, Yunnan. Lao Ban Zhang village has a long history of producing Yunnan Da Ye (large leaves) puer tea and is widely regarded as the King of Puer tea. This tea was picked in the early spring of 2008 from the ancient trees, hand processed and hand pressed in a stone mold in the prestigious Chen Shen Hao factory. Chen Shen Hao factory (陈升号茶厂)，shows at the back of the wrapper) is a major producer of the Lao Ban Zhang puer tea and well respected in the puerh tea industry.
This tea has been aged for 11 years which has poised for great taste. It is full bodied, has an aroma of spiced apple and wildflowers, melon, very smooth with a long lasting aftertaste. It has the "Cha Qi" (茶气) that is indicative of the characteristics of Lao Ban Zhang puerh tea.
