Scented Tea
The process of scented tea is very different than the flavored tea. Modern version of flavored tea is to add dried fruits or flowers into the leaves of Camellia Sinensis plant, which is the tea leaves, not the herbal leaves. Essential oils are usually added to enhance the aroma of the flavored tea as those added flavor agents usually don’t have much scent on their own. Our selection of scented tea is traditionally made with high quality tea leaves that takes hours and weeks to absorb the scent from the fresh flowers, such as Jasmine green tea, or smokes from the pine tree such as Lapsang Souchong black tea. Traditionally Fujian and Sichuan provinces are known for Jasmine scented teas.
