No reviews

Huang Shan Mao Feng is one of the top ten most famous Chinese teas. This tea comes from the north side of Huang Shan mountain, Anhui province. The tea grows on the hills of the mountain with a high elevation of about 1200 meters, often covered with mist and clouds. The soil is rich in mineral and mixed with a lot of rocky stones!

The tea leaves has pale green color with various hues, which is more vibrant after steeping. It has intense orchid fragrance, very smooth and creamy, a hint of vegetal, with lasting sweet finish. No bitterness or astringency whatsoever even after long steeping. What is even more, it is very versatile in pairing with food, especially with rich heavy meal.

The following are excerpts from an independent review. See the full review.

"It is wonderfully sweet, honeysuckle and peony with sesame and peanuts that fade to orchid and a building green chervil and bell pepper crispness. It has a pleasant lightness, both in taste and mouthfeel, and the gentle floral notes linger into the aftertaste."

"When I was drinking it I found myself relaxed and thinking of flowers blooming and trees budding, it was peaceful and reflected in the taste. Definitely one of those type teas I like to sip when the only thing I have to think about is the tea, no distractions from the outside world."
