Highlights

This top grade white peony was plucked in late March pre-ming, sun-dried. It has  delightfully orchid floral, creamy, very fresh, with notes of fresh pear and dates, and produces a rare strong aftertaste, which in Chinese refers to "hui gan" or "hou yun", an indication of high mountain high quality tea.

White tea was once considered to be a medicinal tea in China. Chinese folk tradition indicates that white tea has medicinal benefits, especially for boosting the immune system and helping to cure cold and fever.

Most inferior white peony on the US market are not Fuding white tea, some are from other parts of China, some are even from other countries. As Meimei Fine Teas, we only offer high quality teas from the true origin as terrior plays very important role in the tea quality and taste.

Steeping Guide

200F, 4 grams (2 heaping tbsp) for 6 oz of spring/filtered water, adjust to taste, 1-2 minutes, 8 steepings. We advise against the use of tap water as well as purified water.

This is a fluffy loose leaf tea and prone to broken leaves, so be gentle when scooping the tea out of the pouch and always handle with care.
