High Mountain Dragon Well Green Tea Long Jing
Dragon Well (Long Jing) green tea is one of the most famous teas in China, referred to in Chinese as "Long Jing". It is highly sought after for its unique taste and aroma. It originated in West Lake of Hangzhou, and is now cultivated in other parts of Zhejiang province and other regions of China, resulting in a tea that can vary significantly in quality and taste.
This specific tea is harvested from the locally grown high mountain historic varietal called Qunti Zhong, which exhibits noticeably more flavorful taste than the commonly grown other Long Jing varietals. It has chestnut like flavor, full bodied, very smooth and has a sweet after taste. This is truly an excellent every day delicious tea and provides an authentically satisfying dragon well experience.

Steeping GuideTo get the most enjoyment out of the tea, we recommend using a gaiwan or glass brewing vessel without an infuser. For the best tea tasting results, warm up the teaware first, then add the tea leaves, take in the aroma, then pour the hot water on the side wall of the teaware. Please see more specific step-by-step brewing instructions below:
1. Tea to water ratio: 2-3g to 150ml/5-6oz water. Adjust to taste.
2. Water temperature: 185oF. Never, never use boiling water.
3. Water quality: Recommend to use spring water or filtered water. No tap water, purified or distilled water.
4. Brewing time: about 1-2 minutes. If you use a gaiwan or porcelain teapot, please don’t cover your tea with the lid. Up to 3 steepings.
5. Lastly, please don’t forget to smell the aroma before drinking your tea. Aroma is always the first part of your sensory tea experience.
