2015 Aged Wild Grown Fuding White Peony Top Grade Bai Mu Dan
Tea name: 高级白牡丹
Hailing from the core producing region of Fuding, Fujian province, this tea was plucked in early April pre-Ming and traditionally processed under the sun. White peony tea gained its beautiful name as a reflection of the white downy buds and the dry leaves that resemble peony flowers. High grade White Peony tea is composed of one bud to one or two leaves. Lower grade varieties on the market have very few buds, and are primarily composed of leaves.
This tea has delightfully orchid floral, is clean taste, creamy, very smooth, with notes of fresh pear and dates. It produces a strong aftertaste, which Chinese refer to as "hui gan" or "hou yun", an indication of a rare, high mountain, high quality tea.
White tea was once considered to be a medicinal tea in China. Chinese folk tradition indicates that white tea has medicinal benefits, especially for boosting the immune system and helping to cure cold and fever.
Most inferior white peony on the US market are not Fuding white tea, some are from other parts of China, some are even from other countries. As Meimei Fine Teas, we only offer high quality teas from the true origin as terroir plays very important role in the tea quality and taste.
