This beautiful teapot is a original creation of the artist based on a classic shape. The name "Deli Benefit" means one's own attitude can benefit one's self. One of the aesthetic attributes of this teapot is the clever transition from the mid-profile wide body gradually ascending to a smaller top. In Chinese Zen philosophy, a wide belly is usually associated with a generous and tolerant attitude. In contrast to the wider body and raised bottom, the spout curves upward and smoothly softens the sturdy impression of the whole body with neck and shoulder curving inward. The lid is arched a bit with a lovely Zen-shaped bead adorning the top. The spout and handle are balanced and aesthetically come together as an appealing whole. Overall, the simple, yet gracefully designed teapot will surely add enjoyment to your daily tea ritual.

This teapot is completely hand-made by Qian Wei, who is an artist potter certified by the national artistry and crafts governing body. She was born into a famous Yixing pottery family and has been crafting Zisha teapots for 20 years. Her father is master Qian He Shen, who is the nephew and successor of China's famed greatest master Jiang Rong 蒋蓉. Master Qian apprenticed and learned from his aunt during his tenure at the state-owned First Yixing Zisha factory in the 1980s and has been passing on the tradition to his daughter.

The clay is the beloved Zu Ni from the Yellow Dragon Mountain of Yixing, from the Qian family's private zisha reservoir. You can see the radiance of the clay. Zu Ni is especially great for brewing oolong tea and black tea. The size and shape of the teapot is especially great for gongfu brewing.

Capacity:   150ml / 5.07oz.   Clay: Yixing Zisha Zhu Ni.

It comes with a certificate and a beautiful case.
