2019 Meng Hai He Kai Ancient Tree Gushu Sheng Raw Pu-erh Tea
We are excited to offer this tea from Victoria’s sourcing trip! From leaf selection and processing to the pressing of the cakes, Victoria was heavily involved. This tea is harvested from the organically grown tea terrace, without the use of pesticides or chemical fertilizers. The owner of this tea terrace, Mrs. Ar'E has put forth tremendous effort to maintain her tea terrace in the most natural ecologically growing conditions, even at the cost of reduced yield. The age of the majority of the ancient trees in this terrace range from 200-500 years old.
Our brand features 100% pure ancient tree leaves from the garden show in the picture, from the very first spring harvest. There is no blends, mixes, or intermingling of leaves from other areas or with inferior Pu-erh leaves, which is unfortunately all too common in the Pu-erh tea market. The cake is also double wrapped in food grade paper that is safe for use. This tea showcases the very essence of He kai’s ancient tree Pu-erh tea, which has characteristics unique to the famous Bulang mountain: aromatic, complex, smooth, full bodied, has strong chaqi and hui gan, with sweet lingering aftertaste. It is optimal for either immediate consumption or for long-term storage.
