Yiwu Waterfall Cave Arbor Tree Sheng Pu'erh Tea Luo Shui Dong 落水洞

Highlights

This tea hails from Luo Shui Dong village, literally "waterfall cave" in Chinese. Luo Shui Dong is one of the most famous villages in the Yiwu mountains and Yiwu is one of the six historical pu'erh tea mountains of Yunnan province. Luo Shui Dong has a long history of producing puerh tea, renowned for its high-quality tea, and is currently populated with about 23 families, about 100 villagers in total. In 2019 spring, the Yiwu mountain region had its most serious drought in a decade, and the tea buds and leaves suffered significant damage, which resulted in a decrease in tea production. Although the price of tea from this village has increased year after year, its puerh tea remains in high demand.

This tea was directly sourced by Victoria during her annual 2019 tea trip. It has a wild floral fragrance and honey notes, very smooth, pure and sweet, with strong huigan. The liquor is golden brown, very clear, and creamy, showcasing the rich content of the tea. The leaves are 100% pure from the village, no blends or mixes like some other labeled Luo Shui Dong teas on the market, a truly special tea that you don’t want to miss.

Traditionally, puerh cakes are stacked together and wrapped in a bamboo skin case called a tong. One tong is composed of 5 individual cakes. To purchase a tong, please contact us directly.
