Highlights

Pinewood, Longan Fruit

It is the distinct smoky flavor of Lapsang Souchong that inspires the imagination and  memories. This world-famous tea is sourced from its true origin, Tong Mu Guan Village. Dating back to 1568, legend has it that this was the first black tea ever crafted. While many variants of Lapsang Souchong are available, few trace back to Tong Mu Guan, and fewer still are expertly hand-crafted using the traditional methods. What results is a well-balanced tea that does not overwhelm the palate with notes of carbon and ash; rather, this tea presents a delightful combination of wood and leather, as if one retreated for the weekend to a log cabin getaway, and it concludes with a fruity, sweet lasting finish.  It is also a good choice even if you prefer milk in your tea.

Victoria visited Tong Mu Guan, the birth place of the first black tea Lapsang Souchong. While she was learning the process of the oldest black tea, she paid visit to Mr. Liang Jun De, who is the inventor of the wildly popular Jin Jun Mei black tea, also originated from Tong Mu Guan. It is such a wonderful memory that Victoria decided to bring this wonderful tea back again.
